It is an Auckland Rugby requirement that all serious injuries must be officially reported to our Operations Manager – grammarjuniorsrugby@gmail.com and our Club Health & Safety Officer – Howard Gilbert E: howardgilbert@hotmail.com
During the game, if a player receives a concussion or any other serious injury that involves a trip to the hospital, please notify our Health & Safety Officer.
Concussion
Symptoms:
- Disoriented/Confused
- Loss of co-ordination
- Feeling dazed/stunned
- Blurred vision
- Headache
- Ringing in the ears
- Sensitivity to light
- Slurred Speech
Immediate Treatment:
- Loss of consciousness
- Repeated vomiting
- Severe neck pain
- Seizures (fits)
- Weakness, tingling, burning in limbs
